May 20th 2025 - Development Update
Today’s post focuses on liveries, testing progress, and what to expect in the next few weeks.
LIVERIES
Last week, we invited the Discord community to suggest liveries they’d like to see included in the release version of the Bo 105. Thank you all for your input and enthusiasm! After reviewing your suggestions and carefully considering historical significance, regional diversity, and visual appeal, we’ve finalised the 12 liveries that will ship with the helicopter at launch:
Queensland Police - VH-NVK 🇦🇺
Greece Police - SX-HPC 🇬🇷
DRF Luftrettung - D-HLLL 🇩🇪
Luftrettung - D-HGSA 🇩🇪
The Flying Bulls - D-HSDM (Cancelled due to trademark issues)
The Flying Bulls - D-HUDM (Cancelled due to trademark issues)
Old German Police - D-HTHA 🇩🇪
Jet Rescue Air Ambulance - XA-TUM 🇲🇽
Canada Coast Guard - C-GCHW 🇨🇦
Private - D-HGSR
Private - RP-C2110 (Cancelled)
Private - RA-02534
Private (Roman Atwood) - N8809W
Evergreen - N730TS
Indonesian Navy - NV-409
As mentioned in a previous post, a paintkit for the Bo 105 will be available on our website on release day. Whether you’re a veteran repaint artist or just getting started, we encourage you to use the kit to bring even more unique liveries to the skies. In addition, we plan to share more liveries post-launch, including community-submitted favorites that didn’t make the initial cut.
TESTING STATUS
Two candidates have been contacted for the first round of closed testing. Selection was based primarily on prior testing experience, familiarity with the helicopter, and potential conflicts of interest with similar projects. If you weren’t selected this time, don’t worry as additional testing rounds are planned, and we’ll be reaching out to more applicants as we progress. This early stage of testing is particularly sensitive, and we’ve intentionally kept the group small for now to allow for focused feedback and quick iteration.
If you're interested in joining our test team, please apply here.
FUTURE UPDATES
In our last post, we mentioned that we were holding off on in-game screenshots until a few final textures were polished. That work has taken slightly longer than expected. Our next update will feature:
A first look at the custom Wwise sounds for the Bo 105
In-game screenshots, showing off the aircraft in its nearly final form
Additional insight into our progress with XML coding, decals, and systems
Thank you all for your ongoing support and involvement in the project. See you again in two days!
